I struggled with jealousy in the past and it definitely stemmed from my own insecurities. I would think, "that person is perfect so how could I ever be better than that?"

When I realized I define "perfect" as the opposite of everything I'm insecure about in myself, I came to the conclusion that perfection is a construct of my own mind.

In other words, we all have a different perception of perfection that can only exist because of how we devalue ourselves. The perception of perfection tends to go away when you stop noticing qualities you don't like about yourself.

Looking forward to parts 2 and 3. Love the insights here.
